Our Terms and Sales Policy
We DO NOT practice "CAE prevention" because we do not believe it works. Instead, we blood test our herd for CAE every January before kidding begins. All of our kids are dam-raised, as we believe that this is what is healthiest and best for their growth and development. However, all kids are taught to take a bottle. We believe that this brings out the best of both kid raising methods, as our goat kids are very friendly yet are “natural goats." Starting in 2014, if you request a kid to be completely bottle-fed, there will be an additional $50 fee in addition to the purchase price of the goat, and this fee will be due along with the deposit fee. We DO NOT sell bottle babies unless you are experienced with goat health management, no exceptions.
Kids are priced according to their pedigree, dam’s udder and milking ability/record, and show experience (if applicable). Adult goats are priced according to
their pedigree, show records, and production records, because we have invested heavily in quality animals from showing and milking lines. The cost of high-quality feed, hay, disease testing and prevention, supplies, and other maintenance costs are factored into our pricing as well, and will fluctuate from year to year. Specific prices can be found on our Breeding Schedule pages, and below on our sales for specific animals. Prices are NON-NEGOTIABLE, so please do not insult us or our animals by haggling over our prices. WE DO NOT TRADE OUR ANIMALS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ~ DON'T EVEN ASK.
Please contact us if you would like to make a reservation. Once the reserved kid has been born, you will be notified and will have three days to decide if you would like to purchase the kid that you reserved. At that time, we will require a non-refundable $50 deposit to hold the kid (which will be applied to the kid’s purchase price) along with any applicable fees. The kid must be picked up by 15 weeks of age. After this time, boarding rates of $10/week will apply. If we do not hear from you within these specified time frames, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation, retain your deposit (along with any applicable fees), and re-list the kid as available for sale.
With adult goats, a nonrefundable $100 deposit will hold the goat (which will be applied to the goat’s purchase price). The goat must be picked up within 14 days (unless specific arrangements have been made). After this time, boarding rates of $10/week will apply. If the goat has not been picked up after 30 days, and we have not heard from you, we reserve the right to retain your deposit, and re-list the goat as available for sale.
We reserve the right to retain any goat (kid or adult), or refuse a sale at any time, for any reason. Should we decide to retain an animal that you have put a deposit on, you have the option of choosing another animal (if available), or your deposit will be refunded. If a sale is refused for any reason by us, your deposit will be refunded.
Goats must be paid in full before they can leave our property. This includes the purchase price, any boarding fees or transport fees, and any health certificates
or health testing that you, the buyer, request. We do accept PayPal and cash, and can accept all major credit cards here on our farm. We will only accept personal checks if they have cleared PRIOR to picking up the goat.
You, the buyer, are responsible for picking up and/or arranging and paying for necessary transport for any and all goats. If you request for us to meet you, or transport the goat to you, transport fees will apply, and must be paid for prior to the transport date.
Any and all goats leaving our herd are sound and healthy, and will have their registration papers (if applicable) filled out, signed, and given to you at the time they leave our property. However, there are many environmental factors that remain well out of our control. Therefore once a goat leaves our property, we cannot warrant its' soundness or health. Please note: We are under no obligation to buy back any goat once it leaves our property, and we cannot and will not guarantee a goat’s health or soundness once it leaves our property. Furthermore, we cannot and will not guarantee fertility in our bucks or bucklings sold for future breeding purposes.
